East Riding honey is shaped by the Yorkshire Wolds and the farming around them. Wolds Way Honey, which got its first colony from Beverley Beekeepers in 2008, sells spring and summer blossom, borage and heather blend honeys from bees foraging within a mile and a half of their hives.
Beverley Beekeepers Association is the local association for East Yorkshire, and its annual honey show is held in the horticultural marquee at the Driffield Show. Elsewhere in the county, Meltonby Honey sells raw Yorkshire honey from its own apiaries and Hull Bees keeps hives in the city. Most producers here sell direct or online, so contact them before visiting.
