Lanarkshire's listings are few and varied. In Lanark, Bees at Castlebank is a community apiary run by Lanark Community Development Trust at Castlebank Horticultural Centre. It was set up with National Lottery funding in 2019 and moved in 2022 to a new enclosure with a viewing area, built with help from volunteers. The apiary's beekeeper, Jim Moynagh, gives regular talks, and its honey is sold seasonally at the centre. Near Larkhall, Hillhouse Honeybees sells what it describes as raw Scottish local blossom honey. Plan Bee, based in Wishaw, works differently: it hires out managed hives to businesses, schools, estates and individuals, who receive a share of the honey, and it also sells its own honey products.
Lanarkshire Beekeepers' Association meets monthly from September to June for talks on all aspects of beekeeping.
