North Ayrshire's one listing is a community project in Dalry. In 2021 the Dalry Community Garden was given a beehive from the previous owners of Blair House, and a second hive followed. Both were placed in local beekeepers' gardens as Balmore Bees and Pennyland Bees, and both took in swarms in May 2023. The bees forage across Dalry, including the Himalayan balsam that grows thickly beside the river. The project, run by the Dalry Community Development Hub charity, planned to start extracting honey for sale from 2024, so check with the Hub about availability.
The project's two beekeepers trained with the North Ayrshire Beekeepers Association, the local association to contact about other beekeepers in the area.
Use the listing details to choose how to buy, then contact the producer before travelling.
The directory does not track live stock or harvest dates. Availability, collection, delivery, prices and seasonal varieties can change, so ask the producer to confirm what is currently available.
