Torfaen's one listed producer, The Queen Bee Honey Company from Pontypool, keeps apiaries across Torfaen and Monmouthshire. It harvests from late spring to late autumn and traces each jar back to the apiary it came from. It also sells comb honey, beeswax candles and polish, and nucleus colonies of locally adapted and Buckfast bees.
The honey is sold only through local independent businesses, several of them in Torfaen: Pontypool Market Hall, and in Blaenavon both the Big Pit National Coal Museum and the World Heritage Centre.
