Denrosa Apiaries, based in Coupar Angus, Perthshire, is one of the largest and longest-established bee farms in the UK, operating since 1950 when founder Ken McGregor built his first hives from wartime tractor packing cases. Now run by his son Murray McGregor and three of the next generation — Helen, Ross, and Linnet — the business has grown into a major commercial operation with over 25 employees in summer. Denrosa manages around 5,000 honey-producing colonies across eastern and central Scotland, producing approximately 100 tonnes of Scottish heather honey per year, sold exclusively in bulk t
