Been a beekeeper since 2019. My beehives are located on local farms. They are all within a 5 mile radius of my home. The worker bees collect pollen and nectar from trees and flowers within a 3 mile radius from their hive. Each bee, over its’ lifetime of 6 weeks, will collect enough pollen and nectar to make quarter of a teaspoon of honey. I extract honey from the hive during the months of May and September. The frames contain wax capped honey, which are then spun to extract the honey. The extracted honey is strained to remove wax capping, and then put into jars.
