Whitstable & Herne Bay Beekeepers is a branch of the Kent Beekeepers Association, supporting bees and beekeepers across Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Canterbury, and surrounding areas. Members keep apiaries and hives sited from Sittingbourne through to Broomfield near Herne Bay, and their honey is produced entirely from the annual surplus of their own local hives. The association emphasises that, unlike supermarkets, their beekeepers do not supplement stocks with bought-in honey from outside the UK, making their honey genuinely local and small-batch.
