Shrewsbury is home to the Shropshire Beekeepers' Association, founded in 1875. It has restored Conduit Head off Nobold Lane, the site of the town's 16th-century wells, as a teaching apiary with wildflower meadows, a heritage orchard and a visitor centre, and has fitted out a honey extraction room so the apiary's own honey can be sold to visitors. The county's associations have also held a Shropshire Honey Show at Shropshire Wildlife Trust's centre at The Cut in Abbey Foregate.
Both producers listed here are just east of the town, where the estate land runs along the Severn and Tern. Sundorne Castle Estate, which takes in Uffington and Upton Magna, has produced honey since 2023 from hives on the estate and sells it through local outlets. Its neighbour Home Farm Attingham at Atcham sells the same estate honey for click and collect or delivery.
