Local Honey MyddleEden Honey BeesMyddle, Myddle, SY4 3RPRaw, unpasteurised honey from Eden Honey Bees, Henry's small beekeeping business with apiaries at Myddle, Shotatton and Lyneal in North Shropshire.

Honey from each apiary is harvested and jarred separately rather than blended, so the place on the label is where that batch was made. Spring honey, taken in May at Myddle and Lyneal, comes from oilseed rape, hedgerow and orchard blossom, dandelion, willow and sycamore. It is pale and mild and often sets. The summer blossom honey is light golden and runny, from bramble, clover and lime. Late in the season the Shotatton apiary near Ruyton-XI-Towns gives a small harvest of very pale, runny Himalayan balsam honey.

Henry keeps Buckfast bees in insulated ANEL Langstroth hives. He also sells five-frame Langstroth nucleus colonies with F1 Buckfast queens, both overwintered and summer-raised, that fit standard Langstroth hives and Flow Hives. The nucs can be collected from Myddle or delivered. He also keeps hives on other Shropshire businesses' land to produce honey under their own brand.

Honey is sold online and can't be collected. Henry delivers locally around Myddle, and a courier takes orders elsewhere in the UK. In person, you can find it at Anthony's of Wellington, Homedene Farm Shop at Shawbury, Oteley Farm Shop near Ellesmere, Ruyton XI Towns Store and Wild Street Kitchen in Shrewsbury Market Hall.Buying from this listingThis listing includes a verified webshop link.
