Local Honey Kirby GrindalytheYorkshire Wolds BeesKirby Grindalythe, YO17 8DBYorkshire Wolds Bees is a honey producer based in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, keeping bees that forage across a wide range of local flora. Their beekeeping season begins in spring when bees work on oil seed rape alongside local forage, producing an early season honey with a distinctive flavour. During the summer months, some hives are moved to pollinate borage crops while others remain on the Wolds to collect a mixed floral honey from local flowers and trees. Following the borage harvest, hives are relocated to the North Yorkshire Moors specifically for the heather honey season, allowing the bees to take full advantage of the moorland bloom. Yorkshire Wolds Bees also produces cut comb honey and wooden section honey using both their borage and heather harvests, describing these as their favourite and most traditional ways to enjoy honey in its most natural state. Their product range reflects a commitment to seasonal, single-source varietal honeys and traditional presentation methods.Buying from this listingThis listing does not include a confirmed on-site outlet or verified webshop.
