Darlington Beekeepers Association has kept its apiary at the Old Bowling Green in the Denes since 2012. Its colonies make wildflower honey from the plants of the Darlington area, and members also sell honey from their own hives, so colour and flavour vary through the season and from one beekeeper to the next.
