Local Honey DarlingtonDarlington Beekeepers Association (DBKA)Old Bowling Green, the Denes, Darlington, DL1 1LLThe Darlington Beekeepers Association (DBKA) has been based at the Old Bowling Green in the Denes, Darlington, since 2012, where their colonies produce exceptional wildflower honey drawn from the rich variety of plants and flowers in the local area. The association takes a welfare-conscious approach to beekeeping, ensuring colonies are never fully harvested during the season so that bees retain sufficient food stores to overwinter successfully. Stores are monitored throughout the winter and supplementary feeding is provided where necessary to ensure colonies thrive into spring. In addition to honey produced at their own apiary, DBKA members also sell their own locally produced honey, meaning customers can access a range of flavours and colours reflecting the diverse plant varieties available to bees across the wider Darlington area throughout the season. Purchasing honey from DBKA directly supports the maintenance of honey bee colonies essential for local pollination, as well as funding the association's mission to provide training facilities and resources for aspiring beekeepers, helping to keep this traditional craft alive in the local community.Buying from this listingThis listing does not include a confirmed on-site outlet or verified webshop.
