The Darlington Beekeepers Association (DBKA) has been based at the Old Bowling Green in the Denes, Darlington, since 2012, where their colonies produce exceptional wildflower honey drawn from the rich variety of plants and flowers in the local area. The association takes a welfare-conscious approach to beekeeping, ensuring colonies are never fully harvested during the season so that bees retain sufficient food stores to overwinter successfully.
