Both producers listed for Maidstone keep bees in the villages and farmland around the town. Vince and Sue Bray of Bray's Bees started with two hives in their garden and began selling at farmers' markets in 2015; they now have apiaries at Ditton, Coxheath, Headcorn, Staplehurst and Marden, and jar each hive's honey separately, so colour and flavour vary with what the bees have worked. Bramble Farm Bees sells raw Kent wildflower honey online and at Rochester Farmers Market, and keeps colonies at partner sites including Mid-Kent Golf Course.
