Local Honey HaltwhistleHaltwhistle HoneyGarden House, Wapping, Haltwhistle, NE49 0DJI keep bees because I'm endlessly fascinated by them and find peace spending time with them and working with them. My family have kept bees since the first-half of the 1900's, and it's a great privilege to be working towards sustainable, locally adapted bees and trying to breed them with disease resistance, good-temper and with their health and welfare as the most important thing, with excess honey and wax a very welcome reward for tending to their needs. I'm passionate about conserving bees that can withstand the many threats posed by introduced exotic pests like varroa, tropilaelaps and the Yellow-legged asian hornet in countryside where many imported honey bees would fail. We want local produce wherever possible! Buying from this listingThis listing does not include a confirmed on-site outlet or verified webshop.
