Local Honey TauntonSedgemoor Honey Farm53 West View, Creech St Michael, Taunton, TA3 5DUSomerset honey from Sedgemoor Honey Farm near Taunton, a bee farm run largely single-handed by Chris Harries, who started with two hives in his garden in the mid-1970s. He now keeps around 300 colonies across 20 apiaries.

The bees forage the fields and hedgerows of the Quantock and Blackdown Hills, Sedgemoor and south Somerset, and in summer many hives are moved to follow the nectar flows – including up to the heather on Exmoor.

The range covers runny and set honey, heather honey, borage honey, chunk honey, cut comb and squeezy bottles, in jar sizes from 42g tasters up to 340g, plus small selection crates and blocks of beeswax.

There is no shop or visitor centre at the farm. The honey is sold through local shops, farm shops, farmers' markets and National Trust outlets in the area; phone or email to find your nearest stockist, as not every outlet carries the full range. Sedgemoor also provides a pollination service to farmers and growers, and sells nucleus colonies, queens and hives, with or without bees, to other beekeepers.Buying from this listingThis listing does not include a confirmed on-site outlet or verified webshop.
