Morpeth's two producers sit just outside the town. The Honey Store is a family business at Clifton, just south of Morpeth, which moved here from Ponteland in 2018. It sells raw, cold-extracted honey: a spring blossom honey harvested in June from hawthorn, fruit blossom, wildflowers and rape, a soft-set honey from late spring and summer, and a dark heather honey; its spring honey has been tested for pollen content by Northumbria University. All About The Bees is based at Fairmoor, on the northern edge of the town, and makes beeswax goods as well as honey.
To buy in person, Morpeth Farmers' Market is the place to go: The Honey Store and Hedgeley Honey, from the Breamish Valley, both list it among their regular markets. The Honey Store also delivers nationwide and is stocked by shops around Morpeth, Ponteland and Newcastle.
